Undoubtedly such rhetoric works to charm those who do not have money to give more. But the reality is that the President is not the solution to all our problems, and regardless of what you may think, whoever he or she will be controlled by external groups and will probably do nothing to make sure you have a voice in D.C.
In the end this is politics and any delusions that you are participating in a crusade against politics as normal is simply another campaign generated delusion.
The character of your response suggests that there is more here than meets the eye. It is well known that most campaigns employ operatives to spur fund-raising on websites, since the success of Howard Dean's fund-raising in 2004. The invocations of loaded terms like "the "politics of ME" is a losing politics" and "I'm doing it for others not myself" is a nice attempt to appeal to altruistic ideals but is not the norm of politics.

Something smells....
