If Obama were talking about negotiating with Iran as a private citizen, then you would have a case, but he's not. He's talking about doing it as president.

The argument against Carter free-lancing it with Hamas is that he is now a private citizens and governments get a little upset with private citizens being free-lance diplomats. I'm sure that when Obama is in the White House, he will take a dim view of Dubya bouncing around making deals with the Saudis etc.

This lack of understanding of the issue and shrieking "hypocrite" all the time makes the Hillary people look really foolish.
