Nothing is penciling out well, and short of astounding election results nothing is likely to pencil out well. This is how campaigns end - the money runs out.

At the moment Hillary has two choices:

* Go all out for big wins, which she may just barely have the money and credit to go for. A big gamble, realistically, with hell to pay if it doesn't lead to the nomination.

* Wind things up. Take the recent good fortune and funds raised to end things on a good note, leaving no crippling debts or burned bridges.

I think any reasonable career politician chooses the second option. We will see soon whether her campaign is pulling out all the stops for Indiana and North Carolina, but I would bet the answer is no.
