While everyone is running around with their outrage posts, please keep that in mind - and remember that even sites like DU are fodder for the M$M. So please take a moment to remember who the enemy is.

Am I pissed about FISA, damn straight I'm pissed. Am I going to withhold donations or working to get Obama elected - hell no. Why? Because like it or not (and I do happen to like him) - he's the only chance we've got right now to get some of the crap Bushco has done reversed - and save our courts. The alternative is another Bush that has promised to veto anything that doesn't fit his agenda. And given then he can't even remember from day to day what his platforms are - that scares the shit out of me. Obama will see that Democratic legislation is passed, and I believe he will work to rewrite the wrongs of Bush/Cheney.

Is he perfect? No. No candidate is, but he has a "D" after his name, and sorry - but right now that is all that matters to me.

PS... Here are a couple early pictures from our bake sale a few weeks back that we held during a neighborhood garage sale. I met around 40 people that came JUST to support our bake sale after seeing it posted online. People brought food in 3 waves (but weren't even asked to do that), to help us keep the table stocked and talk to other people/shoppers as they came by. They were some of the most generous, compassionate people that I'd never know if not for stepping out and doing something. We raised $135 selling cookies, brownies, bread and other goodies - some for only 50¢ each. That's a lot of goodies! The final take might not sound like much - but my garage sale only made $105 that day, so pretty damn good, IMO. Every penny counts toward getting democrats in office. Now isn't the time to piss an moan - save it for January. Get out, network - register voters, make a few calls - and bake some damn cookies. Do whatever it takes - or you can really sign your lives over to the government. Because that is where we're at in all this.

Oh, and all the leftovers (a medium sized box, full) were taken to a Battered Women's shelter in the neighboring town. I made sure to let them know that it was a from Local Democrats.

And look at what my husband made... (new yorkers will recognize them)

Now feel free to flame away - I have my big girl panties on, and can take it.
