37. Something to bear in mind
In all the discussions about this, no matter how heated, not once have I seen anyone suggest that Bristol Palin is bad or immoral or sinful, or for that matter that Sarah Palin is a bad parent for allowing this to happen. None of that bothers me, every family has had episodes like this.

I'm a bit less sure about pulling her out of school and falsely claiming it was due to a bad case of mono. That's borderline deceptive. And I don't see how Palin or McCain will be able to advocate a social conservative approach to sex ed and suchlike if that is what they intend to do.

I do think it speaks to McCain's poor judgment, since any sort of social conservative policy as above proposed during a McCain administration would inevitably trigger yet another discussion of his VP's family. Doesn't sound like a winning political recipe to me.
