313. Spin, spin, spin

The reason I mentioned Kerry is because the reason he designated McCain great was because of his POW experience. Kerry was also a genuine hero who in risking his life to save Rassman deserves at least as much credit as Mccain refusing to come home. In fact, McCain knew he would be dishonored if he did that - had Kerry just sped off with himself and his crew, no one ever would have known that he could have done otherwise. In fact, he could have justified it as protecting his crew or he could have commanded one of the crew to help Rassman - rather than risk his own life) I could have mentioned others - but Kerry was the most obvious parallel as both a hero and a Presidential candidate.

Not to mention, Clinton was against the Vietnam War, where JK was really a hero was in his temperate, reasoned advocacy to end that war. In fact, one example I have of a man referred to as great when young was Kerry in 1971. Not to mention that MLKjr was considered and called great BEFORE he was killed. Read the coverage of the "I had a Dream speech'.
