5. If they want to make polls irrelevant
then they are welcome to. This is an excuse because they know both of their candidates performances, thus far, have been lackluster.

Scientific polls are also showing Edwards to have done better, and at worst, to have tied Cheney. A tie is fine. It doesn't break the momentum in any way, and I think it keeps the excitement going within the party.

I'm thinking that this is solidifying the base...and helping with undecideds. Cheney said nothing that should change any person's mind that was already having doubts over this administration.
