Braley and Dickinson both had reps here, but it isn't the same as a physical presence. Yeah, I know both of them live up around there, but bottom line is that Davenport is the biggest city in the First District and if a candidate wants to win the nomination, they should probably make more appearances here. The Democratic Party is reportedly ready to pour around 2 or 3 million into this race, so the candidate had better be damn good and get into the Quad Cities from time to time. Even Bettendorf, which is a highly Republican city.
