[Nothing Without Hope]

I don't know what to think of Madsen's elaborate story. With old cached gold, bizarre foreign connections, slimy pols, secretly helpful spooks, and all sorts of other amazing things it reads like an over-the-top pop spy thriller. If it's a true story and can be proved, it's wonderful news. If it's fake, sloppy, or a Repub plant, it's obviously not. I'm hoping for the best and withholding judgment for now.
