23. I was just reading alst night about the clerks in the US Supreme

court who witnessed the partisan actions of the judges. Justice Stephens had it right, that the perception would be that the US Supreme Court by getting involved in the 2000 election had stopped dispensing justice and started making partisan rulings. He was so right.
