4. It would be interesting to see some breakdowns
of voter registration...how many registered, which party they declared, and how of many newsly registered also voted.

I know during the run-up, one of the segments were the 18-25(?) year olds. "Analysts" were saying Kerry had more of this youth vote than Bush, but Bush was doing 'surprisingly' well. They also were saying that these are the same people who don't show up at the polls on election day.

Given the shenanigans with voter registrations, e.g. signing a petition supporting marijuana legalization that changed party declaration, it's not a 'suprise' Bush had gained ground in that segment. But I also read accounts of many of these voters finding they were unable to cast their vote due to registration problems (dirty tricks).

On the one hand, I think people should be responsible and make certain they are registered with plenty of time to spare in case steps need to be taken to register again. Also, I think people should verify with absolute certainty where they can vote and document where that information came from. That said, questionable events took place that would have prevented them from voting at worst, or placed numerous obstacles that only a determined voter would overcome.

The bottom line is: Yes, I believe they stole it.
