2. Apparently not
Trying to find one of those aforementioned albums over the internet has been extremely discouraging not to mention the fact that Mr. DiCola only released a few extra instrumental tracks on the new soundtrack. This isn't to say that I didn't appreciate him doing so because he certainly did choose some good themes from the film to add to the soundtrack but if he really wanted to do something special for the 20th anniversary of the movie I would've thought that he would've wanted to give the fans something extra special such as the entire instrumental score. And, frankly, I don't see why he couldn't re-release the music since it is HIS music after all and he is still releasing albums. It almost sounds like he just doesn't want to. Maybe he is just tired of TFTM-related projects (not that he would be doing anything new by re-releasing the score). But he does still sell copies of other TFTM-related albums (demos, outtakes, variations) that he worked on that were also previously exclusive to Bot-Cons right on his studio website, so........? Oh well. *sigh* Maybe us fans of his score will get lucky someday.
