6. One hell of a nice guy
Used to work at his condo building in downtown Boston. Him and his wife used to bring us food all the time and chat with us. Probably one of the few non snobs in the whole building. Kind of hard to imagine. He wasn't the only member of the Red Sox team living there. Probably the nicest of the bunch next to Tony Clark.

Hell of a nice guy. Dissapointing to see his career get swallowed up in all this controversey. Not to mention the steroid use. Personality wise he is so far from the person you read about in the papers.
