Wow, what fun reading. Thank you so much for all the research work you did. I am trying to clean house today and I hate it. I keep coming in here for a break and reading this thread. Now I will have even more to read! (it will be my reward for getting things done)

Hey, just this morning my neighbor had an experience where she heard from her grandmother who passed over a couple months ago. Gram was 100 last year and actually made it to 101. She had stayed with my neighbor, whose name is Karen, for a few months during the summer of a year ago. I met her and had a number of delightful chats with her.

Anyway, not only did Gram pass on, but so did a few other relatives in the family. This is the family in the mansion (I'm in the carriage house). It's an old estate that was split up into two properties many years ago. Anyway, my neighbor Karen is also very sensitive.

So this morning she came over, quite excited, to tell me that she had been thinking of Gram, whose given name is Lillian. She said she'd been missing her and she was wishing she could just pick up the phone and call her. Then the phone rang and it flashed through her mind that it was Gram (Lillian). Instead, when she answered it was a wrong number and the person on the other end of the line was very elderly and frail-sounding. He said, rather weakly, "Lillian..."

Both Karen and I feel that it was Gram's way of trying to get through to her.

Upon speaking further, I think perhaps that Gram was even calling for a reason. Karen also told me that because of the deaths, there are quite a few inheritance issues in the family right now. As you know, these things can get very sticky. In one situation, there are some family members who want to file a lawsuit against others. The other family members think that a lawsuit is not worth it, at any cost, because it will tear the family apart.

So now I'm thinking Gram was calling as a way to tell Karen she needs to hang in there with that point of view (lawsuits not worth it). BTW, everyone in this family has millions and nobody really needs any of the money, which just reinforces to me that no lawsuit over inheritance is worth it.
