27. Hmmm, I agree.
Loss can shape you as much as any positive event. Kerry dealt with his first loss in that awful Rep. race by hunkering down and working harder. (OMG, how New Englandy. The answer to all of life's questions and hardships is to, ahm, work harder. Always makes me laugh.) I wouldn't be surprised if the soul-searching that went on after this loss resulted in Kerry deciding to just be himself. If he re-brands for another shot at the Presidency, then I think he will trim off the excess PR stuff and just try and be himself. Explain that he has a core and that he has always had values. Then go ahead and explain them. The whole Kids Come First health care bill is a good example of this. To hell with slinking away quietly and not doing anything. He had a strong agenda, he intends to go through with it. Nice.
