A few snapshots of my vegetable garden.

We've had a remarkable summer so far this year, warm and sunny, little rain -- the exact opposite of last year, thank God. The only problem I've had with the garden is finding time to keep it watered sufficiently. Here are a few shots.

Here's my first little broccoli crop which I probably need to pick today before they flower out.

Red cabbage starting to "head up" and kale. The yellow flowers are the mustard and mizuna that self-seed and come back year after year. The cilantro has also bolted. That's what happens with 20 hours of daylight.

Zucchini and yellow squash and those little scallop-shaped ones that I'm trying for the first time this year

The empty space at the end where the shovels are is where my compost bin was. HullBoss is going to build me a little greenhouse in that spot so next year I can grow tomatoes and cucumbers and start my seeds.

Looking the other direction. The corner of the new compost bin is on the left. I didn't plant the fireweed or the violas, but they just seem to find their way into the good soil. I leave them there because they look pretty. Those are strawberries along the fence on the other side of the sugar snap peas. We've had a bumper crop. I'm having trouble keeping them picked and eaten.

Here's a picture of the new compost bin and the rhubarb that I took about a month ago.

Our yard is small but I think we've done a good job of maximizing the space. :)
