Kurt Vonnegut and *'s fish tale
Advertisements [?]
Hocus Pocus, in that novel Vonnegut's main character has to take care of his mentally handicapped wife and her mother. One of the things he does is take then fishing, one day his mother in law caught a small fish and a big fish inhaled it at the same time.
Later in the book, he is talking with the Japanese prison commander when his mil in a moment of clarity says "Did you tell him about my fish?"
Yesterday, when i read the commander in chimp* comments about his ahem big perch, that all I could think of Did you tell him about my fish?
