But woe unto any election-fatigued citizen who chose to sit through a football game or family dinner rather than the full political attack. The machine called back, again and again — as many as a half-dozen times — until the message played through, local voters say.
Such calls flooded phones and frustrated voters Saturday and Sunday in the 19th Congressional District. There, the incumbent, Rep. Sue Kelly, R-Katonah, is locked in a tight race against Democratic challenger John Hall.
