I am watching the debate on DU over impeachment, or not, as the case may be.

The issues need to be thought through as regards strategy; that seems sensible and I posted yesterday to agreee that investigations might be the best approach rather than a bull in a china shop headlong attack. I will maintain that position if it can be clearly demonstrated that impeachment without a lead in of careful investigations will simply not work. Equally, I will change my opinion if evidence to the contrary emerges. Avoid blind partisanship and all that - think for ourselves rather than abdicate our responsibility to ourselves by letting others do our thinking for us.

If Bush, Cheney et al get away with their crimes though it will be clear that democracy in the US is an illusion. So the question is...how and when will the investigations begin?
