Will the next GOP "star" come from a governors mansion?

There's been some discussion of the repugs picking a new shining star that isn't tainted by the smell of clearing brush...

Seems to me the MO in the past has been to pick a governor.

Arnie's out cause he's not eligible to run, but I am sure there is some other repug governor that is getting grooming treatments from the party.

McCain and Ghoul-iani will probably run, but I doubt they will be the party's choice.

What do you guys think?
