...after we were snowed and iced in at a hotel in Downtown Columbus for two days! I didn't have to turn out the lights on my way out (ha) as the electricity was already off in many places. There was like 2" of ice on top of 9" of snow. The ice was beautiful but many in OH were without power or heat with the high temps that were like 12 degrees! I have a Jimmy with 4WD and which made it possible for a bunch of us to get over to the German Village on the 23rd for a nice dinner. By the 24th we out of state people could leave... most by air but since I was driving I took about 60lbs of boxed Recount materials to the Port Columbus' 24/7 Post Office (which was closing for Christmas Eve!) to express mail to the Recount coordinator so she wouldn't have to carry all this on a crowded plane.

Andy told me he had his own little saga in that storm, lol, which I guess eventually involved you, GreatAunt!

Then in January we all went to D.C. for the first PDA Conference after the "coronation"; Andy sure knew about snow driving by then because I drove him out to the northern VA home of a DUer where he was staying to get his suitcases, etc. I had to turn on the 4WD most of the way, but it was fun.

Yup, I miss Andy too. :cry:
