it's only fair to Ford in this poll to point out that The Godfather of Soul is no angel either. Brown had a history of domestic violence, among other things. Wife beating is just plain inexcusable. Brown's record, when it comes to his ladies, is not good. He was even charged once with aggravated assault and intent to murder his wife. As recent as 2004, he was arrested for domestic violence. Sorry to be such a downer on this, but that's just the way it is.

Just the same, I have to admit that Brown's death makes me sadder, but that's because of my love for rock and roll and his influence in the beginning of it all. My love for music is more influential upon me, in this particular poll, than my indifference toward Gerald Ford. May they both RIP, though.
