If the party or the White House dare to complain about it, it leaves the door open for a statement like this:

"We're sorry Mr. Bush felt slighted at the funeral, but we thought the event was honoring Ms. King and not the Commander In Chief"
"Perhaps they chould have played 'Hail to the Chief' on his way out"

The Republicans would be very wise to let this one go.
That said....I bet they aren't that smart.
