You mirror my concerns almost exactly.
I wonder sometimes if younger people fathom the principle changes our democracy has suffered since the 60s.
It was far from perfect then, but there seemed to be checks and balances that always evened things out, and we grew and became more prosperous by the year.

Then I realize that everyone remembers the 90s, and no matter how much some hated Clinton, they know things are worse now.

We have to convince the "Barstool Republicans" to stop making excuses and blame the party that's responsible for our woes.
