22. That's not your typical farmer!!

He's obviously not a member of the Farm Bureau or any of its puppet RW commodity organizations.

If he was, he'd be in lockstep with Gov. Walker and supporting his stripping of collective bargaining rights and other programs.

I know a lot of farmers and the overwhelming majority of them are cheering on the movement to take down collective bargaining rights in states around the country, not realizing that it will ultimately be to their demise, because when they take down the unions, it's a matter of time before they'll come after the farmers and eliminate the programs that they depend on. And there won't be anyone around to stand beside them when that happens.

I have had numerous conversations with farmers who rant against people benefiting from some type of government programs. Then, you look at the Environmental Working Group's website, you find that these same people are among the top recipients, if not the top recipient, of federal farm program payments in their counties. Hypocrites!! In addition, I know a few who supplement their farms with off-farm income with taxpayer-funded jobs ranging from township trustee, to county commissioner to postal carriers. I guess they think it's OK for them to have their faces in the government trough. I think most of the township trustees in the county where I live are farmers who run for the position to receive the health insurance and retirement benefits--paid for by taxpayers.
