24. In 1973 my high school elected a dwarf as senior homecoming queen

and we loved her to bits.

Some of the faculty didn't know her and I think there were a couple who were afraid it was a cruel joke. But all the students knew it was the one person everybody truly loved. She was smart, an actress, great fun, truly popular, and well liked by everyone. The homecoming king didn't know her and I think it was a surprise for him but they became great friends.
