Kucinich was just on CNBC talking about "Thermal Expansion" where in the Summer gasoline expands so the amount of gas that comes out of the pump is "expanded" because of high temperatures. So, you are paying $l-3.00 MORE at the pump in Summer than Winter.

I'd never heard of this...but Kucinich says that Canada has a device on the gas pumps that adjusts for this "thermal" factor so that Canadians get a fair price adjustment.

Kucinich said most Americans don't know about this and how they are being cheated because of this practice.

CNBC folks saying that "regulation about this will just raise gas prices because requiring a 'gas pump monitor'will just cost the 'mom and pop gas stations' money to install it." Kucinich says we need to examine if they aren't already being compensated in some way for the price difference.

His hearings will be today. GOOD STUFF! He's also planning on holding hearings on possible regulation by requiring Hedge Funds to be more transparent to their investors. But, they aren't scheduled yet.
