...enough of the dancing around with this guy. Senator Schumer's questions, and Gonzales' answers, regarding who ordered Gonzales to try to strongarm a bed-ridden AG Ashcroft were enough to demonstrate that this man's loyalty to a political agenda trumps his concern for the integrity of our founding principles. As Sen. Schumer made plain, Gonzales' answers were actually refusals to answer...and with no attempt at justification.

Add to that the fact that he was unwilling to acknowledge as torture, and condemn outright, the use of waterboarding, painful stress-positions, dogs, etc. (techniques used by the Inquisition in it's day) under the gloss of "protecting the American people".
