The definition of the word -- as referred to by the OP has it's ORIGINS in Nazi Germany.

They TOOK THE WORD AND USED IT IN A NEW WAY. THEY CO-OPTED IT. THEY BROUGHT NEW MEANING TO IT (POSSIBLY, UNINTENTIONALLY) BECAUSE OF WHO THEY WERE. THE ORIGINS OF THE WORD AS USED IN THE TERM "HOMELAND SECURITY" HAS ITS ROOTS IN NAZI GERMANY.


I never called anyone a Nazis, and I am hardly being silly.
