Maybe you are right. Maybe God had nothing to do with it. Maybe he/she did. We are just people and we don't know everything. It might be that God is trying to get us off our fat butts and do something. I don't know... and no one on Earth knows either.

I agree with you on the greed thing. Absolutely, without question! Money is the root of all evil and it is a horrible thing to see how greed can kill.

Greed kills. I need a new bumper-sticker.

I think that prayer, meditations, positive thoughts, whatever you want to name it, helps a lot of us to focus our energies. It also helps us to calm our minds so that the superior mind in all of us can be heard above the din. It could be that a quiet moment is all it takes for someone, somewhere, to come up with a brilliant idea that would help everyone in a very tangible fashion. That's all I'm after here... that, and a feeling of coming together... a critical mass of mental energy.
