he is a convenient blob of clay for their machine to package, just as reagan and gwb were. neither of them had the sense to come in out of the rain either. That is their tried and true strategy - run a cardboard cutout. If they clear the field of all the dreck currently stumbling around they can focus on the packaging. If the dreck is still there, Thompson has to actually mix it up with them.
