is how *little*, relatively, it takes to buy these people.

*I* could cough up the amount of some of these campaign contributions, if I mortgaged myself to the gills and scraped up all my cash and lived on dishrag soup for the rest of my life, but it wouldn't buy me what these corporate fat cats get.

And to the corporate fat cats, what they give is chump change.
