No doubt, Putin and Jintao are playing a dangerous game. A result of the US economy faltering badly could be a US version of the Nazi's gaining power (far right nationalists) ala 1932 Germany.

Basically, it's 1908 all over again, and the final Great Game for hegemony over the world's remaining petroleum (and natural gas) wealth is on.
