did you know that if you pay cash for a new car that you have the option of paying no collison when you insure it? Now it's risky, yes, to skip collision on your policy, especially the first couple years, but after 3 years it doesn't make a lot of sense to keep paying such exorbitant fees for collision in many cases. OTOH, if you take a loan, collision is mandatory. The other thing...if you wait and pay cash for a car, you won't be tempted to blow money on other loans for expensive items. After a 5 or 10 years, you will really start seeing a huge difference in your personal equity you can build up, and you'll be driving new vehicles and paying as you go.
