KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Johnson County woman must pay more than $7 million in damages for sexually abusing and then cyber stalking her baby sitter.

The victim, who is now 23, claimed the abuse started when he was 13 years old. He took a job babysitting the children of Jessica Wright of Leawood. She was in her late 30’s at that time.

The victim told the judge that Wright had sexually assaulted him for five years. When he tried to cut off contact, the victim said Wright harassed him with constant call and text messages. The suit also claimed Wright accessed the victim's cell phone account and sent text messages to his friends and family.

Wright admitted to forging a letter from Rockhurst University threatening to expel the victim. She also admitted to making 500 phone calls to the victim and his girlfriend.

A Kansas City judge awarded the victim $7.3 million in damages.
