My dad was a NYC firefighter as was his dad before him... I have a special place in my heart for firefighters (not to mention dogs) so this is one of my favorite photos ever. Thanks for your post.

I live near Philly...on any historical tour of the city they will point out those fire insurance emblems on the old buldings. Amazing.
