Get involved in your community and do something concrete.

(As an aside to those who KNOW that writing a check is more beneficial, I say that people who haven't ever donated before need the physical act of placing that item in a basket, understanding it will go to someone in need. It starts a chain reaction. And to those of you who HAVE worked at Food Banks, this is a good time to get the check book out.)

I'd love to see THIS as the thread that never dies....
