The murmur of Obama's complicity in dealing with Republicans and/or Big Corporations has turned into a deafening SCREAM over the past few days.

Are his aids insulating him that much? Surely, they know that if Obama loses his base, he loses the election and they lose their jobs (even if they could find another cushy one somewhere). It still seems so odd that he doesn't know how much the public has grown weary of his capitulations.
