19. Everything's Relative...
1. Who says Obama "called" Clinton? Unless we're actually in the West Wing listening to staff meetings we have no idea who called whom and why.

2. How do we know that ALL past-Presidents don't at least keep in touch with the sitting POTUS regardless of party/ideology? The ranks of President/living ex-Presidents is a VERY small fraternity.

3. Consider what Clinton had to choose from if he wanted advice from living ex-Presidents: Bush I (who hates him), Reagan (senile), Carter (not yet vindicated), Ford (virtual recluse) and Nixon (disgraced and dead by Year Two of Clinton's presidency anyway). Again, we don't know if Presidents consult exes on anything at all; but if Clinton didn't, can you blame him? And how do we know if that helped or hurt him?
