Afghanistan: this is a joint effort among many nations; we don´t bear the total cost of this war. Maybe he sees something we don´t; time will tell.
Banks: yes, the bankers showed how greedy they are, but the banks are still open (indeed, healthy), and the ultimate cost to the taxpayer was a whopping $0.
HCR: sticking 100% to her guns did not help Hillary (my hero, bless her soul) in the early ´90´s. True, Obama is having to kiss a few toads on this one, but it´s the best way to get SOMETHING passed. Personally, I will delay judgment until it is clear just how many of the currently uninsurable are ultimately insured, and how much it will cost them.
