19. Bipartisanship is a one party system
As Harry Truman said, given the choice between a fake Democrat and a real Republican, the Republican will win every time. THAT is what we are faced with. When the electorate throws up their hands because they can't see a difference between the parties, they stay home, as they did in 2010.

With Obama's relentless emphasis on bipartisanship and working with the Republicans, he blurs the line so much that he has no identity. He didn't win by that much last time. He will need an enormous turnout, and it is just not happening.
