Let's hash this out because I am sick and tired of SOME very vocal African-American Obama supporters insinuating that those of us who are non-black and happen to be disappointed with this president are racists and that we all have some hidden agenda to try to turn minorities against him. I'm also sick and tired of these very same people engaging in actual racism by not only assuming that everyone who is disappointed with Obama is a white racist but also threatening that black voters will turn against us if Obama faces a primary challenge or if he happens to be defeated in 2012, as if black voters can't see past their race. Maybe it's them who can't see past their race. I am NOT a racist. I was one of Obama's biggest supporters and defended him for almost three straight years against bigoted attacks from the right. I spent my time arguing with the dregs of humanity; white supremacists, fascists, Islamophobes, Theocrats, Nazis, you know, actual racists.
How dare you accuse those of us who not only supported the man (a black man) but also donated our valuable time and hard earned money and worked tirelessly to get him elected of being racists? How can you honestly with a straight face accuse the very same people who cried tears of joy as they witnessed history being made as then president-elect Barack Obama gave that wonderful speech in Grant Park of being racist?

I am sorry the first African-American president turned out so be such a dud. I trully am, but you know, if Obama was white (and he is half-white) I would feel the same way. I can asure you that most of the people who are now Obama's biggest detractors where once his greatest supporters. We are NOT right-wingers. We feel betrayed. We had such high hopes for this presidency but instead we were cast aside and now they've all been crushed.
