it's been an integral component of their message since the reign of reagan. so...if you, a black person, align yourself with a blatantly racist party, you cannot whine about "dignity." obviously rice and powell are not stupid people, but many of the black people the GOP loves to trot out for the cameras are not exactly intellectual giants...michael steele is a perfect example. both powell and rice were totally disgraced by their roles in the bush administration.
