The facts are not in dispute. Right-to-work legislation would make Grant County and all of Indiana more competitive and attract more jobs.

Of course, the union bosses don't want it because it weakens their hold on the pocketbooks of workers, consumers and shareholders. It is a hold to which they should not be entitled by force of law - which they currently are. But the Democratic Party doesn't want to let people truly make a choice regarding whether to pay union dues in exchange for employment because many would say no to funding unions and end much of the legalized money for power exchange between the party and organized labor.
