A major change is taking place in America, and it is not for the better.
The last time I remember this country being truly united was after 9/11.
Ten years later, we have Americans battling Americans and people
celebrating over a $1.6 billion cut to our children that will likely translate
to no savings at all to the average citizen, and maybe will save $100 or
so on your property tax bill. The meager savings simply doesn't justify
the cost. Ten years after 9/11, I fear my government and the extremism
displayed and supported by my fellow Americans more than I fear any
sort of terrorist attack.
The "celebrating over a $1.6 billion cut to our children" refers to right-wing reaction to the Scott Walker budget in Wisconsin.
