Why I am frustrated and will vote for Obama
Advertisements [?]
I am a liberal Democrat who has seen my party continually pulled to the right on every issue. I keep supporting the Democrat because I hope each time that he (so far) will be the one who is strong enough to start pulling the party back toward the left so that we can start to see we-ism replace me-ism as a national philosophy.

I think the 24 hour news cycle has been a huge boon to propaganda. The noise generated by it short-circuits critical-thinking and creates amnesia about the past 24 hours and about history. Watergate, Dirty Tricks, Iran-contra, the fact that the unions created the middle-class in this country, the Supreme Court Presidency, the lies that got us into Iraq and so much more are less important than the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

I am frustrated by the fact that Obama and the Democrats who had a majority for two years wasted it while they worried too much about making nice with the Republicans. They allowed the Republicans to frame the issues AGAIN!! and lost any chance we had to stop the right-wing vortex.

I will vote for Obama again because he is still the better option. As a side note, I will vote for Bernie Sanders because he is where we need to be going.
