5. Norquist logic
Don't fill the tank, that'll cost $45! Of course, when he runs out of gas, Grover then has to deal with the time and trouble of calling a tow truck to take him to the station, paying the $45 to gas up anyway, along with the cost of the tow. If he's lucky, he didn't damage the fuel system. If he's not lucky, he could be looking at a tidy outlay to fix that. So, rather then shell out $45 to fill his tank, Grover would prefer to run out of gas, incur an addition $800 in expenses for the tow and fixing his fuel system, and still pay to fill his tank. Not to mention the unpriced cost of his inconvenience, wasted time, and any missed appointments because he was so pig-headed.

Grover's an idiot, so I expect this kind of "logic" from his addled brain. What I don't understand is the credence he receives from people who know better. Anytime he shows his insipid mug in public, he should be greeted with taunts of "idiot" until he retreats again to his hidey hole.
