"Some of the targets of these techniques had more to lose than their privacy. While vile and disgusting, the alleged eavesdropping of Milly Dowler, war widows and Sara Payne did not endanger life and limb. The alleged targeting of ex-intelligence officers with knowledge of IRA informers could have.

Tuleta may also draw other titles and newspaper groups into the scandal. It is likely to focus on the activities of Jonathan Rees, a private detective who worked for News International and the Mirror Group. While police investigated Mr Rees over the murder of his business partner Danny Morgan in 1987, they bugged his office and recorded his conversations with reporters."

Ladies and Gentlemen of DU...

I do believe the hacking scandal is about to accomplish several things:

We will see that Murdoch's minions interfered with government.
We will see a planned attack on liberal members of the government that will cause the break up of Rupert Murdoch's holdings in the UK.
The conservative Government in the UK will fall due to being such good mates with Rupert Murdoch and his army of minions.
The Murdoch's will probably lose their positions in their companies and the result will be business that is more about business and less about the brainwashing of the people it serves.

But most importantly...the right wing is losing its mouthpiece. The right has risen to power due to the steady drumbeat of anti-liberal messages by Murdoch's empire. When Murdoch is out of the picture then the right has lost their mouthpiece.

The days of Murdoch's influence is almost over. Have a great weekend. I spent four days camping and it has renewed my love for my country. It is worth fighting for.
