You have spelled out and displayed the reasons so many of us here have said: you cannot win being "nice" or complacent with these misguided people.

This does not mean you have to be violent or hate-filled.

But we must all call them on their bullshit and never let up.


It's exhausting to imagine keeping up with the slime, lies and threats they spew, but it's the only chance we have right now.


We have to strike while the iron is hot. It is hot now. It is time to talk seriously about how we want this democratic republic to run.

on lies and fear and assassination?

or on the rule of law.


I hope that many, many teabaggers are thinking tonight about Christina Taylor Green and whether their hatred was worth it. I hope they feel a buyer's remorse that cuts them to the core.

I hope all of us step up and cry out for an end to the violent rhetoric.
