3. Sums up RW thinking...they would rather prevent tens of thousands of
people from voting (caging, voter ID laws, under-equipping polling stations, etc) in order to root out the one person per state per decade who might commit voter fraud.

Just as they would rather deny a justified benefit to 95% of eligible persons in order to deny it to 5% of people who might not deserve it as much.

Just as they would rather execute potentially innocent people in order to deliver hard ass justice to others

Just as they would rather keep planned parenthood from providing valuable services to women in order to make sure that more minor aspects of their service (abortion services) don't take place.

They are willing to take down our entire economy or let the most vulnerable starve in order to uphold a principle (such as tax breaks for the wealthy or elimination of a program they don't like)

Just as they would prefer eliminating important voter registration efforts (Acorn) in response to very minor issues having to do with technicalities of how those working to register people are paid.

Just as they are willing to scrap critical environmental protections, wholesale, because of isolated but much publicized cases where a farmer might not be able to increase farmed acreage due to a threatened wasp or mouse.

Just as they would torpedo a successful government program because one aspect might be inefficient or not perfect. This is not limited to just specific programs...because government is not perfect, they are willing to say that government is the problem.

Just as they would base policy on the 1% of scientists who are willing to state that climate change may not have to do with human activity

...what is comes down to is adherence to doctrine, not facts or reason. They will continue to claim that voter fraud is a large problem that justifies hard-assed, undemocratic over-reaction in order to protect the principle. Consequences don't matter...only the 'faith' that you sign up for when you join the 'team'.
